Finally had time to try out VDPAU in combination with MythTV. The MythTV team have implemented VDPAU support in yet to be released 0.22, but I want to try the backport to 0.21 developed by Jean-Yves Avenard.

I’ve now managed to clean up the code enough to send the patches onto the MythTV team. Take a look at their trac ticket #3162. The attached patch will work against MythTV 0.20 out of SVN. For the moment I’ve mapped the FreeView MHEG EPG key onto F12, but this might change.

No details on when the update will be released, but they are already testing MythTV 0.20 with myPVR and FreeView digital. Over to the OpenMedia Homepage for more details.
